Mobile Lab:
It is a mobile truck equipped with the necessary equipment to measure the ambient quality by determining the pollutants concentrations, and this lab is used to measure the following:
o Carbon monoxide (CO).
o Nitrogen oxides (NOx).
o Hydrocarbons.
o Sulphide hydrogen
o Ammonia
o Ozone.
o Suspension particulates.

This lab can record all measured data and make all necessary calibrations by the suitable gases or pure air which can be prepared by a special equipment in this lab.

Portable Ambient Air Analyzer:

The Portable Ambient Air Analyzer consists of a group of infrared units that can monitor ambient air in workplace environments for the purpose of detecting the presence of gases.

Dust Concentration Measurement Instrument (Haz -Dust)

HAZ-DUST is a direct reading particulate monitor that uses infrared electronic radiation to sense airborne particles.
This instruments can be used for all Industrial and environmental particulate air monitor applications.
The Flue Gas Analyzer
The flue gas analyzer (Testo 350) measures O2, CO2, CO and differential pressure accurately, quickly and reliably. It can measure NO, NO2, SO2 if required, and it is also possible to measure humidity and velocity.
Testo 350 is particularly suitable for emission control and for adjusting larger industrial furnaces, also it has a large measuring range for process control in industrial furnaces and a high accuracy level, even in the lower measuring ranges, for limit value control.

Motor Vehicles check:
Cars is considered as a source of emissions, so MCL has different types of machines and devices to check the efficiency of gasoline and diesel engines, such as:

o Automobile Emission Smoke Analyzer:

It is used to measure opacity emitted from the vehicle under load.
o Engine Tune up:
This machine is used for diagnosing the car engine and measuring the emission, the following can be checked:

-Starting system
- Charging circuit.
- Ignition circuit.
- Cylinder stabilization
- Air fuel mixing system by defining the following:
- Air to fuel ratio
- Exhaust measurement (O2, CO, CO2, HC)

This device is used to measure engine efficiency, speed, temperatures, air and fuel pressures, and emission at different loads

o Bachrach Injector Tester

These devices have sensitivities to the sound vibrations that are magnify and clear then it is measured by digital method after changing the sound signal to electric one, and it can also analyze the noise composition emitted to know its source.

Drinking Water And Waste Water Analysis Instruments:

These instrument analysis the water and specify the dissolved solid materials, the salinity and ph .the theory of work of these instruments depends on the photic, chemical and physical properties of the measured quantities.

PH Meter
PH 5 Meter measures the pH, which is one of the most common analyses in soil and water. An indication of the sample's pH is actually a measurement of the activity of hydrogen ions in the sample.
pH measurements run on a scale from 0-14 .

Laser system:
This is an instrument using the laser beam to do many different measurements such as: measuring the fluid flow rate in pipes, the velocity of the blood in the arteries, or the gases produced during the industrial processes.
This equipment consists of a tube emits a laser beam, set of transmission, receiving, and accumulation lenses and a signal amplifier connected to measuring and processing devices for the different properties by analyzing the changes in the laser beam.

Scatter, Optical Overlap, And Beam Diffraction Sets
This set measures the scattering degree of an emitted beams such as laser beam to measure the pollutants concentration and the particulates in the different emissions, and consists of a source of laser beam, lenses and set of receiving and data processing devices. This set is used for many application, industrial, medical, agricultural, …etc.

Flow Rate Measuring Instruments

It's a one of the most important measured values in different engineering applications, so there are many instruments used to measure the flow rate values such as:

Magnetic instruments
These instruments use the magnetic phenomena to measure the flow rate.

The flow meter instruments
The theory of these instruments depends on presence of a float that moves up inside a transparent glassy tube, and it rises according to the fluid velocity. Hence the flow rate can be evaluated.

Obstruction meters
This type of flow meters measure the fluid flow rate through the determination of the pressure drop caused by an area reduction at a certain cross section

Manometric instruments
It is used to measure the pressure difference. There are many types of this category (inclined - U - mercury - water) according to the pressure difference or to the measured flow rate.

Ultrasonic instruments
This kind of instruments uses the ultrasonic waves to measure the flow rate, for example:

Incandescent Wire System:

This is a new electronic technique to measure highly variable temperature and also to measure fast rates and deviation of temperature.

Measurement And Calibration Of The Pressure Gauges

The pressure is one of the most important properties, which is highly needed for the system control and safety from explosions.

There are many instruments and a variety of them, which are used to measure the pressure or to calibrate the pressure gauges. These instruments are either piezoelectric, magnetic, capacitive, or reluctive,

Hand- Held Pressure Tester
The hand-held pressure tester used to calibrate the pressure gauges. It is capable of generating test pressures up to 200 PSIG.

High -Pressure -Calibrator
The High-Pressure Calibrator used to calibrate the pressure gauges. It is capable of generating test pressures up to 700 bar.
Filters Performance Measurement Instrument

This instrument is used to calibrate the filters' performance according to the standard specifications.

Photo And Digital Analysis Devices:

There is a group of digital cameras used with computers to transport the signals by different storing media. Also there is a super speed cameras used to monitor the fast phenomena.

MCL has many instruments, which are used to measure the properties of different materials, such as tensile strength, stresses, elongation, hardness…etc

Integrated Hardness Tester:

Integrated Hardness Tester is an advanced, handheld instrument distinguished by its durability, compact size, and high accuracy. Wide measuring rang and simplicity of operation it is suitable for testing the hardness of all metals and has been widely applied in many areas of the materials testing industry.

Dimension Measurement Instruments

MCL has accurate conventional and digital instruments to measure the material dimensions as well as the coating thickness, which are considered very important to determine the quality of materials and the finishing.

Ultra Sonic Thickness Gauge
This instrument is used to measure the thickness of metals, and nonmetallic materials e.g. aluminum, titanium, plastics, ceramics, glass and other materials, which are good conducting for the ultrasonic wave.

 
Coating Thickness Gauge:
MCL has different coating thickness gauges, which work, either on the magnetic induction principle or on the eddy current principle. Depending on the type of probe used. The gauges conform to the following industrial standards:
DIN50981, 50982, 50984, ASTM B499, B244, ISO 2178, 2360, BS 5411 DIN 50981 and 50984 have been replaced by the standards DIN EN ISO 2178 and DIN EN ISO 2360.

Vibration Tester
The vibration-testing meter is designed to test conventional vibration, especially the vibration test in rotating and reciprocating machines. It can be used not only to test the acceleration, velocity and displacement of vibration but also to perform simple failure diagnosis and print out values.
 
Rotational Speed Measurement Instrument

These are a photo and mechanical instruments measure the velocity of the rotary parts.

Digital Photo / Contact Tachometer
It used to measure the velocity of Shafts, and it has a wide measuring range from 0.5 to 100,000 RPM.

Temperature measuring and calibration instrument

It is an electronic apparatus in which, the calibrated equipment or the material which we need to measure its temperature accurately, and by a similar electrical signal changed electronically to be identical with the measured material. Hence the calibration or measuring is achieved with a high accuracy.

There is also an apparatus measure temperature by using the laser beams (rang 150 C- 2000 úC). Also there are all equipments that can measure the temperature like incandescent wire, thermal resistance…etc.
There is also calibration set consisting of controllable thermal furnace; its temperature can be controlled.
